How do students use their break time between schedules?

New School Semester Equals Busy CampusWhether there is more than an hour gap or simply a 10 minute gap between classes, students at the University of Southern California have found various of tasks to complete during the duration of that time. Within the accumulation of these images, students are found chatting away with colleagues, checking their latest phone updates, having a meal (even if it is only a quick yogurt), going to class, exercising, completing the rest of their assignments, and even sometimes being bored. Many students can even be seen multi-tasking as well, trying to use their time efficiently and enjoyably. Within the crowd of students, I ran into someone who had a two hour gap between classes, yet he was "bored" because he had no idea what to do as he contemplated whether he would have time to grab a meal at his off-campus apartment. Personally, during any break that I have, I always make sure to eat something even if I only have a 10 minute gap.
Although these tasks may vary from person to person, there is something in common amongst them; each student is consumed by their task without noticing their environment. Most students did not seem to realize that they were being photographed, and merely continued to do what their time permitted.
