Eccentric Eclectic Venice

So today, I ventured of to Venice! I needed to go for a volunteer program, so I thought I'd might as well go to the beach because Venice beach is simply like no other. I love it there! (even though I have a vivid painful memory of breaking my ankle there, ouch)

I am first starting of with some portraits I took throughout the beach which was our original assignment for photojournalism. Then I will follow with some other photographs I shot throughout my day at Venice.

Self-taught henna tattoo artist who has been doing henna tattoos for about 13 years. He did an awesome henna tattoo for me as well which you can see if you scroll down.

Venice beach visitor who caught my eye since he was wearing a USC hat. Fun fact: His first USC football game was when he was 7 years old and his grandson just began school at our rival campus, UCLA.

Venice beach visitor, Ron Eggers, who is a photographer himself! His visit today was for a photoshoot he was going to shoot. Fun Fact: He received his post-graduate at Annenberg and his daughter graduated from USC! Awesome Trojan fam, fight on!

Venice always has some type of entertainment. This is a Venice street performer who not to mention was hilarious! I was not able to see the entire show as I was on time constraints, but I do not doubt he was great!

This is the gorgeous henna I got tatted. 

As I was taking this photograph, the man below jokingly said to photograph him. Although he was joking around, I told him to YES, let me take a photograph and he did as shown below.

For some peculiar reason, every time I see a flag, especially an American flag, I must photograph it.

After the beach, I headed towards Venice Arts, where I will be volunteering with an Intro. to Photography class taught by an amazing instructor, Christina. During the first day of the class, we went out the second half of class to Abbot Kinnely to photograph. I was beyond impressed by all the students photographing. I am definitely excited for the students to see them progress and improve throughout the year. 

They were all hands on and did what ever to get the shot, even if they had to kneel!

I know this post has gone on for too long, but I shot some quite exciting stuff! Here are some street shots, with a couple portraits, and some stills.
