Weekends are always great, but this previous weekend was better. Why you might ask? It was a THREE day weekend thanks to Labor Day. But, that is merely one reason. The second reason being that this previous Saturday was the commencement of USC's football season. Who doesn't love the immense pride displayed all over campus...or more like around the entire vicinity? I for one, love seeing everyone so deeply immersed in Cardinal and Gold acting so kindly among each other even if they are strangers. 'Game time' represents much more than what is clearly indicated; it represents a family, it creates and ignites bonds. These are some of the images I captured throughout the pre-game picnics.

During the weekend, I also had time to go venture off in different areas...even if I might have not intended to do so at first. (You see, this happens to me ALL the time, wandering off and getting lost. Last semester, there were many instances when I would purposely go off by myself with my camera to areas I did not know simply because I liked the challenge and feeling of dependence of oneself. Needless to say, I am still the same, but with slightly more precaution.)
In an attempt to go to get a livescan check, I wandered off to Echo Park as they accepted walk-ins. However, once I arrived, they were closed, yet their neon lights lit 'open.' So, I called to ask about what was the problem, but *ring ring* no one answered nor did they return my call. Because I had traveled in bus such length (5 miles, 38 minutes), I thought it would be best to take advantage of getting to know an area I am not familiar with. Thus, I walked and walked until I reached the Echo Park lake which is beautiful. (I am glad I decided to take my camera)
